I joined BayBank from Arnold. At that time BayBank was one of the most innovative retail banks in the country. They were the first to respond to the new yuppy market with 24 hour access ATMs everywhere. And a new fangled thing called a banking card. They understood branding like no other bank, and were the first bank to view themselves as a "retail" business.

Making a presentation to Bobby Orr on the occassion of his 10th year as BayBank's spokesperson.

Needles to say, I learned a lot from my inside experience at BayBank. Many of the financial services marketing philosophies hold today are drawn from those principles that we applied at BayBank. Great people were there: the ATM visionary Donald Isaacs, and William Crozier who combined investments in innovation and technology with a deep understanding of the changing demands of the market. I worked with incredibly smart people like Jane Post, Linda Rothstein, and Peter Roveto - some of the best bank marketers around.

While happy at BayBank, I was offered an opportrunity to join as full partner at an agency called
ReevesDrake Advertising. I took it.

Bobby Orr, "The Legend", was an important part of the Baybank brand as spokesperson and talent for our braoadcast efforts.
