JEFF DRAKE
Brand and communications leadership.
NYC/Bozell wanted to extend their regional agency brand (Bozell/Kamstra) into the northeast.

They bought my firm, ReevesDrake Advertising to build out the talent and capabilities of the new agency.
As Director of Strategy and New Business, I lead two accounts - EPA's ENERGY STAR and Banknorth, as well as a few smaller clients. At the same time, I direced new business efforts for the agency. We established a new positioning and brand expression for the Energy Star label ("Change the World.") that still performs today. By the way, I led the pitch that won the business.
I learned a great deal about new business development from one of New England's best, Dan McDougall. I worked for Tom Stone, a great guy, great manager, and superb Director of Client Services. Clients always loved him and respected him.
Our Bozell/Kamstra had great potential. But then IPG bought True North and sent us packing to Mullen.

The EPA's ENERGY STAR label was the anchor client, and the primary account for my service team.
